About Ami

Ami Parekh is the 8-time Indian Senior National Figure Skating Champion 2004-2007 and 2011-2014. In 2007, she became the first skater to represent India at a Senior International Skating Union Championships when she competed in the 2007 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships and the 2007 World Figure Skating Championships.

After a break of several years, Parekh returned to competition in 2012, qualifying for and competing in the 2012 World Figure Skating Championships. She then went on to compete at the 2013 and 2014 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships.

Ami has been learning jumps, spins, footwork, and choreography from some of the best coaches in the world. For the past seven years, everywhere she moved to train, she had been spending her free-time teaching what she has learned to kids and adults of all ages.

Ami retired from competitive skating in March 2014. She performs in various ice shows and spends her time on the ice teaching skating to others in Chicagoland.
